Interesting article. Fortunately my son now 22 is in the category where we agree that some rephrasing is ridiculous and OTT. Someone always risks getting offended. I think a distinction needs to be made between describing something for what it is and a systematic choice of words to shape the narrative and opinions of a group of persons.
